Art therapy and
art-in-healthcare connect to the
profession of horticulture therapy. Horticulture therapy is a new and exciting
option that has much
potential.
We are not horticulture therapists however we practice a
form of gardening that combines horticulture and art in a therapeutic
manner. We offer our form due to the beneficial
results we have witnessed when working with long term health care residents.
These results can be an increased sense of pleasure, an increased balance to
a sense of loss, an increase in intellectual functioning, and improved ADL's
(activities of daily living)
